Human-Rights Step by Step Association is a nonprofit organization
that works actively on the problems of vulnerable groups, with particular focus
on the victims of double discrimination. The Organization is registered in the Social
Assistance Agency as a provider of social services. Human-Rights Step by Step Association is a member of the Social Council for Social Support-Varna.
Objectives: - To unite the interests and efforts of its members
to coordinate and improve its activities in establishing a sustainable legal
and social environment to protect the interests of citizens socially
disadvantaged: women, children, people with disabilities, members of minority
ethnic groups.
- To promote balanced development of civil society
in the country of equal opportunities and equal representation of men and women
and different ethnic groups in the public and private sectors.
- To carry out advocacy and work to promote
universal and European standards of human rights and the universally recognized
values of democracy and humanism.
- To work actively to protect and promote the
personal, economic, political, social and cultural rights of women, protecting
them against violence in all its forms.
Activities:
- Working in
partnership with other organizations and individuals to achieve the objectives
of the Association, participation in the humanitarian and human rights networks
and alliances.
- Taper public awareness of existing problems in
the public sphere and to combat them by:
- Organizing and conducting media campaigns,
conferences, seminars, round tables; - Preparation of reports, articles, developments,
publications and leaflets on hot topics of public interest with information and
education-oriented; - Conducting surveys and questionnaires and
prepare a comparative and reference materials. - Organizing and conducting advocacy campaigns to
change attitudes and policies at national and local level.
